King of Diamonds tribute to Neil Diamond is a 5-star winnerThe “King of Diamonds” show at Alexis Park Resort is an outstanding, completely authentic tribute to Neil Diamond. Singer Rob Garrett has been performing as Diamond for 30 years, first in Vegas’ longest-running production show, Legends in Concert. Garrett covers the high points in Diamond’s career and tells fun stories, including the fact that Diamond wrote mega hit “Sweet Caroline” in just a few hours in order to come up with one more song for an album. The audience got into the mood of the evening and after three decades performing as Neil Diamond, Garrett still displays enthusiasm and passion for the music and the show.

We’ve been to a lot of tribute shows in Vegas and would rank this one near the top of the list, it was fantastic! So many classic songs but what we liked was the background given before each song began. The vocals were great, the energy was great and the band was flawless. Highly recommended, you have to see it, we will likely go again!

Great Show
I only knew a little about Neil Diamond but this show was very enjoyable as Rob goes into history and information about Neil Diamond as he performs. It was a great show and always enjoyable to see live instrument playing artists perform. Robs love for what he does shines through and his respect and admiration for Neil Diamond is infectious. Great show.

Rob Garrett has been singing Neil Diamond for almost 30 years. Sounds just like him. 75 minutes of one great song after another. A lot of audience participation. He made the show fun and entertaining. Small venue. Comfortable seating. Food and drinks available.

Saw this last night on Father’s Day. I just have to say how impressed I am with the show. Rob does a great job hitting the look and sound of Neil Diamond. He is probably the closest sounding to Neil that I’ve heard. The theater is small and intimate, and that just made it feel even more special. He was very engaging with us and will let you take as many photos with him after the show as you’d like. His band really nailed the music and sounded just like it does on the radio. Rob had a lot of fun facts about Neil and his career. It was fun, fantastic and well worth the money. I’d highly recommend seeing this show if you come to Vegas.

We got two tickets for this show at a discounted rate, which when I confirmed the booking online, I upgraded to a table at not much extra. The venue is The Alexis Park Hotel a short taxi ride from the strip, just next to the F1 plaza. Small show room, probably 40 – 50 people, table service bar. The show is put together by Rob Garrett who is a life long Neil Diamond fan and that comes through in the performance. Backed up by a live band, he takes you through a time line of the songs, giving a short introduction of how they came to be. If you grew up in the 1970s, like me, this music was all around, and still is. The show pays homage to that and the songs are performed with passion. Well worth a visit if you can.

Rob Garrett is passionate and faithful in performing many of Neil Diamond’s songs in an 80 minute show at the Oyo. Great to end it with America. Wish he’d sung Kentucky Woman and Solitary Man. I’d cut Forever in Blue Jeans. We took advantage of photo opportunity with Rob afterwards. Enjoyed ourselves in this intimate venue.
